The Apex is an independent wood furnace or can be added to an existing gas, oil or electric furnace system. The Apex is the world’s first hybrid wood furnace and the first to meet or exceed the new B415 test standard. In this system we combine a high efficiency secondary burn system with a catalytic combustor. This dramatically increases the efficiency of the furnace and reduces the emissions to the lowest levels possible. The 5.7 cu. ft. cast iron lined firebox is capable of holding up to 120 lbs. of wood. That translates to just under 1,000,000 Btu’s of available wood energy. This large firebox and the super-efficient burning process allows the Apex to heat from 800 to 1,400 sq. ft. home for up to 14 hours. You can dramatically reduce your heating costs when you install an Apex furnace as it is the most efficient wood furnace available with an efficiency of 90.7% (87.2% HHV B415).
